This 67-layer damascus steel is named “Suminagashi firstly refers to the Japanese marbled paper technique, a decorative art dating from the 12th century. Also called VG-Gold across the Atlantic and VG King in Japan (gold and Kin meaning “Gold” in English and Japanese). Gold has no relation to its appearance since it is not golden.
