This tree comes mainly from Algeria and Morocco. This wood is brown in color. The thread is twisted around darker oval eyes.
What forms the burl is the wood growing in a bouquet on the same stump. This magnifying glass is the only one that has a density greater than 1.
This wood is hard, which makes it difficult to work. But it offers a very nice finish. It is used in marquetry or small decorative surfaces, but also in sliced and sawn veneers for boxes, music boxes, shelves, furniture, wall panels and luxury cabinetmaking.
